let's say you scanned the barcode 123456

and custom link is http://search.yahoo.com/search?p={0}

then the browser will go to:

you can do smart things with my site feature:

*) define your own websites to look up barcodes

*) refine your query with keywords

*) use Google's site: operator to search on a website even if website doesn't support barcode search

to scan many barcodes switch to bulk scan

duplicated barcodes are counted and marked red, it helps to spot an issue, if you don't expect duplicates, like when scanning tickets or parcels

also if you take a picture in this mode, you're not taken to picture preview, which saves time

scanned barcodes are saved in the list

you can browse to saved barcodes at any time, make notes, clear the list or export to Excel

history limit prevents running out of space; once the list is full the app will start deleting the oldest barcodes

if you don't want history, push the limit to 1

if you do inventory, push the limit to 1000 or export to Excel before you hit the limit

you can always clear the list manually

you can move barcodes between 3 groups: none, green and blue just with 1 click on a flag

apply the filter to view only blue, green, grey or all barcodes

additionally blue and green barcodes are never deleted; so you can prevent important barcodes from deletion

resolution affects both scanner and pictures

push resolution to lower to save battery (scanner) and save space (pictures)

push resolution to higher to scan difficult barcodes (scanner) and for better quality (pictures)

pictures are off by default; first enable pictures in settings

to take a picture:

1) click anywhere in the viewfinder to stop autofocus

2) frame your picture

3) click 2nd time to snap a picture

to retake a picture just repeat

picture is taken for the barcode currently selected in the list

click on the picture to switch between thumbnail and full size

rotate the phone for a better view

hold on the picutre to save into "Saved Pictures"

to use geotags first enable geo in settings (off by default)

location is captured asynchronously when you scan a barcode; it may take a few seconds before geopaw shows up

view barcode location on the map

use enlarge gesture to get a detailed view

geotags are also exported in Excel

enter geotags in Google Maps for example

upgrade to pro unlocks all the app features
